On the road again

We are leaving tonight for Tikal, Guatemala. The journey involves changing to a small bus in the border town of Chetumal. This route is usually chosen by Mexicans, tourists choose a more comfortable, but also expensive route. That is, the plane. When they land at the airport in Guatemala City, it turns out that they have to change to a regular bus anyway.

We plan to leave Merida by the ADO evening bus. We will be in Chetumal the next morning. Don’t be afraid to travel by night buses, they are very comfortable and safe, although sometimes it may seem scary. Immediately after arrival, we will catch a bus to Guatemala, directly to the city of Flores, from where trips to the ruins start. We chose a hotel outside the city, in the jungle. With a bit of luck, there will be electricity, but just in case, we have all the power banks charged.

See you the day after tomorrow. We will write you how the journey went and tell you about the morning among the most famous ruins in the world. And until then, see what gem we discovered a few years ago in one of the towns of Yucatan.
